3 Steps to Achieving Your Bliss

Getting what you want, chasing your dreams, achieving your bliss. Call it what you want, because most of us think that this is a pipe dream anyway. Something that only the very lucky, very rich, very talented, or very delusional can conceive of. Guess what: it's easier than you think it is.

I'm not saying that designing the life that you want to live will be a walk in the park, because it's not. It takes hard work, perseverance, and extreme self-awareness. If you are married (or otherwise engaged in a serious, long-term relationship) and/or have children, you have the added challenge of convincing them to come along for the ride or to follow their own dreams ... without impinging on yours. It's daunting.

But it can be done.

There are truly only three steps to getting started:

  1. Decide what you want to do
  2. Set up your systems
  3. Go do it

That's it! Easy peasy lemon squeezy, right?

Of course, if you know how to do these things.

If you don't, or if you do but want a different perspective, you're in luck because I want to share my experiences, mistakes, and lessons learned with you. I won't lie and tell you that I'm going to post on Passion Tuesday or once a week; experience has taught me that trying to stick to a rigid schedule is the fastest way for me to drop a project.

So here's the deal: as often as I can swing it, I'll go into detail on each of these steps. We'll cover different methods for digging your passions out of the depths of your soul (and identifying the Should-Dos and Must-Dos), discuss logical ways to make stuff happen, and give you the encouragement that you need to go out there and do something AWESOME with your life. I'll also post interviews with people who have chased--and caught--their dreams.
